Horseback Trip 2 days is a 2-day horseback riding adventure through the high Andean páramo of Ecuador's Chimborazo region. Departing from Riobamba, the ride takes you across grassy slopes, volcanic outcrops, and traditional Andean landscapes with spectacular views of Chimborazo, ending each day in the picturesque mountain town of Salinas and at the region's thermal springs. Supported by expert guides and well-trained horses, it's an immersive way to experience rural mountain life and the region's equestrian traditions.
Over two days you'll spend roughly 4–5 hours in the saddle each day, riding through varied highland terrain, spotting local wildlife, and connecting with the rhythms of Andean communities. Day one leads to Salinas for lunch and time to explore the town, while day two carries you toward the Chimborazo thermal springs and their warm volcanic waters. The pace is steady and scenic, though full days on horseback call for a reasonable level of comfort and fitness.
The price includes horses, guides, all meals (starting with lunch on day one and ending with lunch on day two), transportation from Riobamba, and accommodation. Guests should budget for international airfare to Ecuador, arranged separately. Optional add-ons include one-way pick-up from Quito, an upgrade to stay at Chimborazo Basecamp Lodge, and a single-rider arrangement.

Real stories from real travelers
Perfecta localización con vistas espectaculares. Muy buena atención.
Every single person involved in this trip, from the driver, to the experienced guide, to the hosts , everyone was amazing.
I always felt extremely well taken care of. It was a beautiful experience.
I booked the Iliniza Norte, Cotopaxi, and Chimborazo climbs, and everything was perfectly organized. From the very beginning, Wlady answered all my questions incredibly quickly. Transportation was well arranged, the guesthouses were comfortable and welcoming, and vegetarian meals were always available for me.

The climbs themselves were fantastic. A special thanks goes to my guide, Wily, whose professionalism and support helped me reach all three summits safely. It was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend this team.
Great Experience, I highly recommend booking with Andes Eco Adventures. Everything was great, and Wlady was always very responsive and helpful. Thanks again !
